Monuments to Union Regiments

Culp's Hill is located about three-quarters of a mile south of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It forms the barb of a fishhook-shaped series of hills and ridges on which the fiercest fighting took place during the second and third days of the Battle of Gettysburg (1863) during the American Civil War (1861–1865). It was also near, if not on, Culp's Hill that Private John Wesley Culp of Company B, 2nd Virginia Infantry Regiment, Stonewall Brigade, was killed.
